Petra is a great restaurant that you should totally check out!
The chips and queso are good to start with and the margaritas are so tasty as well!
They also have really fresh tortillas.
Our favorite entree's are chicken mexicana, creamy tortilla soup, and chicken sour cream enchiladas!
We tried the churros and loved them as well.
Petra has live music on Tuesdays and it's a really fun atmosphere for a date night or a group gathering.
We've consistently had great service here too. -

Great place! Amazing food, and nice atmosphere to meet with family or friends!
Chips, salsa, queso, and guacamole were all a hit. Bartender made delicious margaritas and had a few variations that everyone liked. I drove up from Dallas to meet some friends there, and the Sour Cream Enchiladas were worth 50 minutes in rush hour traffic! A little warm to sit out on the patio, but I would totally come back here in cooler weather just to enjoy that food outside in a cool breeze. Definitely coming back!
Almost forgot - be sure to try the churros for dessert. Yum! -

Gave this place a try for lunch today with our family. The menu is front to back, done well for the most part. The only thing was the descriptions for the plates were different. I ordered a dish that I thought would be skirt steak not cut up, but it was. Just feel there should be a better description of some items
The place was very clean and beautifully done, staff was friendly. Our waiter was nice, answered questions, just wished he would've been a tad more attentive and noticed that my fiancé hadn't hardly ate his food. Especially since we were one of two tables in the place and he was only waiting on us.
We ordered the Jamaican Hibiscus tea which was fabulous. We also had a half order of the chorizo queso which was also good. They bring out a red salsa and a tomatillo salsa with the chips, we found both to be quite tasty. For entrees I ordered the Beef al guajillo which was great on flavor but the description I thought I was getting skirt steak, not diced up. But it was still tasty, I substituted my beans for the Mexican slaw which was very good. My fiancé ordered the signature chicken guajillo enchiladas. The sauce on them almost tasted burnt. Very roasty chipotle flavor that was somewhat bitter, was not very good. He didn't want to say anything, and the waiter didn't ask.
We would come back, I enjoyed my food and the place was nice. Gave 4 stars with everything we experienced. -

Great service. Good drink menu. I enjoyed the change in unique menu choices. Had sour cream chicken enchiladas and chicken tacos. Chorizo queso was not so good. Prefer torchys.

Petra is finally open with its new location on 380 in front of Tucker Hill. The inside is light and bright with tons of sunlight from the wall of windows. It is a full service restaurant, verses the old location that was counter service. As a bonus it also has a patio.
I know it looks like from the street that it has a rooftop patio, but unfortunately Keller Williams owns that roof. I'm not sure what Keller Williams needs with a rooftop??
The chips come with two salsas. One is a tomatillo salsa and the other is tomato based. Both did not have much heat. We started with a bowl of queso with chirizo. It was delicious! It was creamy and the charizo was a great accompaniment.
I had the shrimp tacos. They were ok. I wouldn't order it again. The shrimp were tiny. The charro beans were under seasoned and lacking flavor.
Hubby had the steak tacos, he felt the same way, they were just OK. At the old location I always had salads. I branched our and tried something different. I will return and stick to salads.
